- Do I need an account to use LingoWeave?
- No. The free tier works entirely on your device — no sign-up, no email address.
- Can I delete my account and data?
- Yes, any time — open your account page from the extension's Settings tab and delete your account from there. It permanently removes your email, word-bank history, and settings from our systems. See our Privacy policy for the full details of what we collect.
- Isn’t there a free extension that already does this?
- A few free tools swap in translated words using raw machine translation, and will happily drop a word into a sentence where it doesn’t read naturally. LingoWeave only swaps nouns, verbs, and adjectives, and skips a word rather than force a bad fit.
- Does it catch every form of a word — plurals, tenses, and so on?
- Not yet. LingoWeave matches the exact word paired with your target-language word, so a plural or a different verb tense won't trigger a swap. It also only ever swaps a whole word, never part of a longer one — so "book" won't touch "bookstore."
- Is Pro a subscription?
- No. Pro is a single one-time payment. You keep what you unlock for good.
- Which languages are supported?
- Spanish, French, and German, all available now. The free tier locks in whichever one you start with; Pro can switch between all three freely.
- Can I change my target language later?
- On the free tier, no — your first choice is locked in, to keep things simple. Pro removes that lock entirely: switch languages any time. Each one keeps its own progress, so switching back picks up right where you left off — but only one language is active on the page at a time, so you're never seeing several languages mixed together at once.
- Will it slow down the pages I visit?
- No. LingoWeave only reads and swaps plain text on the page — it doesn’t run inside things you’re typing into, like email or documents.
